One of the many changes Facebook has made to their events system (they are also about to begin linking directly to ticket purchasing systems) is finally updating the aesthetics of each event.
Event promoters can now upload a cover photo, allowing them to showcase more of the event and give a taste of the atmosphere they wish to generate.
With cover photos everywhere else, we don’t know what took them so long.
We can assure you though, this is only the beginning of changes to their events system. Expect a major flow of updates in the coming months.
