The plugin and addon code are free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License, or (at your option) any later version.

Our plugins and addons are distributed in the hope that they will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. See the GNU General Public License for more details.

Support and Update Licensing

Licenses are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Licenses enable plugin updates and support for a single website, unless a multi-site or Agency Support Licence is purchased. A valid and active license key is required in order to get automatic upgrades for purchased extensions. License keys can be used on sites the license holder owns or is personally involved with building. We reserve the right to limit, block, or revoke a license at any time for any reason, including use of licenses that violate this agreement.

Software Updates

Updates are included for free for one year with any annual licenses, or until cancellation on any monthly licenses. If you have a valid and active license, updates may be delivered automatically from the WordPress dashboard or downloadable from your ektagon account. If your license expires, you will not have access to plugin updates. You can renew an expired license to gain access to plugin updates.

Support Services

Support is provided to the license holder up to one year after the purchase date, or whilst a premium monthly subscription is held. You must renew your license if you wish to receive support after one year. We reserve the right to require early support renewal from those who post over 60 tickets in a single year. Our team reserves the right to deny support to a license holder who disrespects our support team or seeks support for a site that violates our acceptable use policy.

Acceptable Use Policy

The syncing plugin and add-ons may not be used to provide, sell or offer to sell the following: controlled substances; illegal drugs and drug contraband; pirated materials; instructions on making, assembling or obtaining illegal goods or weapons to attack others; information used to violate the copyright(s) of, violate the trademark(s) of or to destroy others’ intellectual property or information; information used to illegally harm any people or animals; pornography, nudity, sexual products, programs or services; escort services or other content deemed adult related. If we find our plugins are being used for any of the above, we reserve the right to revoke the license and refuse support.

Refunds

For orders made after 00:01am ET on September 4th, 2024, refunds will only be made within 7 days if the plugin’s functionality does not work AND a resolution/fix cannot be reached through online support chat. If you’re unsure about your use-case, please open up a chat with pre-sale support before purchasing.

NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE FOR CUSTOMERS THAT CHOOSE TO NOT TO USE ANY SPECIFIC EXTERNAL (non-ektagon.com) SERVICE THAT OUR PLUGINS MAY SYNC BETWEEN. THESE EXTERNAL SERVICES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO INTERCOM OR ZENDESK.

Prior to September 4th, the ektagon no-risk money back guarantee offered that, if at any time within the first 14 days of opening your account you decide that our plugin is not for you, just let our support team know and your refund will be processed. After 14 days, no refunds will be given.

To submit a refund request, or ask to access support, please open a support ticket via your ektagon account.

Your Personal Access or API Tokens

In order to sync data into 3rd party services, the plugin will ask for an access token or API credentials. These are saved to your own internal database and never sent to our service, servers or team. Please keep these details secret and take measures to protect and secure your database. We suggest renewing tokens and credentials often to lower risk of keys or access being stolen or lost.
