Facebook begins another round of ‘talent acquisitions’.

Right in the beginning Facebook owner, Mark Zuckerberg, grabbed the passion of Sheryl Sandberg from Google to help move them from start-up to multi-national ultra-billion-dollar organisation.

Recently, they acquired the whole team at Gowalla, to add to their growing team of extremely talented developers. They did so in a manner that allows Facebook to add the team to their roster, but did not buy the actual company or its user-base.

The big blue social network also took a step further to announce that they would be ‘adding thousands of employees’ in 2012 whilst also opening a software engineering centre in New York.

Expect to see more and more from the company who’s unofficial slogan is ‘move fast and break things‘ in 2012!
